UNDER THE SEA-ORIGINAL PAINTINGS
This series is inspired by the beautiful creatures that adorn our oceans. My dad was a scuba diver and he would tell me of all the brighly colored fish, and how they would swirl around him. Each subjects is painted with a fluid brushstoke to create a sense of lightness. Sea glass is added to create texture and represent bubbles in the water.
Painted primarily with acrylic on wood, each painting is finished with an acrylic top coat, resin, crushed elements collected from travels around the world to add surface texture and depth. Inquire at Kari@karilovesart.com for custom sizes and pricing.
